What you can do
- Capture Website Screenshot: Take a screenshot of any URL and get back a public image link.

Note: You don't need to write any code. ViaSocket handles the API communication for you.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Create a Workflow
Log in to your ViaSocket dashboard and create a new flow. Start by selecting a Trigger. This is the event that starts your automation.
Examples of triggers:
- A new row is added to Google Sheets
- A new form response is received (Typeform, Google Forms)
- A scheduled time (e.g. every day at 9 AM)
- A webhook is called
2. Add ScreenshotEngine Action
Click the + button to add a new step to your flow. Search for ScreenshotEngine in the app list.
3. Choose Action
Select one of the available actions. For most use cases, select Capture Website Screenshot.
4. Configure the Action
You will need to provide the URL of the website you want to screenshot.
- You can type a static URL (e.g.
https://google.com) - Or map data from previous steps (e.g. a URL submitted in a form)
5. Use the Screenshot
The ScreenshotEngine step will output an image URL. You can use this URL in subsequent steps of your workflow.
Ideas:
- Send the screenshot to a Slack channel
- Save the image to Google Drive or Dropbox
- Email the screenshot to a client
- Attach it to a Trello card or Notion page
